VAKSANA

Meaning nourishing — invigorating & fertile place.

Vaksana is a women-led retreat and community space in Queenstown Village, Guyana, developed by the non-profit A Different View Project (ADVP). Centered on regeneration, wellness, and community-rooted work, it brings together nature, nourishment, and slow living.

Experience

Time here unfolds slowly — shaped by wetlands, open skies, shared meals, campfires, and moments left intentionally unfilled.

Guests may stay overnight in one of our A-frame cabins, camp, or join us for a sunset dinner. Vaksana is a vegetarian, non-alcoholic space where wellness is woven into the everyday — designed for rest, reflection, and a gentle return to self.

Meet the Team

Vaksana is held by a small, hands-on team rooted in family, community, and shared responsibility. The space is built and cared for through daily, on-the-ground work — hosting, running programs, and tending the land together.
